Got back out there for the first *real* game of the year today.
It was hot, I am sore and exhausted. I had to drive 45 minutes to get there. My body feels like it is going to fall apart.
God did I miss this...
The openning kick-off was returned for a touchdown. My arms were raised as I was huffing and puffing to try and catch my breath. Three of the TD's were long runs where I had to sprint to keep up with 17 year-olds.
It went well though. I can actually feel my body moving towards getting into good shape again. (playing tennis and hockey is nothing compared to running to keep up with high school wide receivers for 2 hours)
Time to relax and watch old Babylon 5.
