Oh yeah... ref school
Oct. 20th, 2003 11:06 pmHow could I forget... I also had to be a guest speaker tonight at ANEFO (Association of New England Football Officials) on Rule 1.
I cracked them up with my style. I am very big on keeping people's attention, making things simple, and addressing visual learners.
It went very well, and I am told I need no sound system ever... I put away the microphone 1/2 way through and everyone heard me better without it.
:-)
ok... Looking forward to slow day tomorrow.

Public Speaking
Date: 2003-10-21 07:26 pm (UTC)In high school, I would safely say that I felt more comfortable on stage in front of a crowd than in a small group.
When I was 9, my parents tried to explain to me what stage fright was and I tried and tried... yet could never understand why other kids felt nervous on stage. It didn't make sense to me.
One-on-one... now THAT makes me nervous! lol
