For those who know laptop computers and wireless routers...

I borrowed a laptop computer from a friend and bought a wireless router.

The router is now set up via cable for our two regular computers and working well.

I configured the router and laptop to use the same encription key and router name.

On the laptop, when you go to the lower right of the desktop, claims it has a connection and an excellent signal.

Yet when I go to internet explorer, it claims it does not have an internet connection.

What do I need to do now to have the computer use this wireless router as it's connection to find the internet?

Thank you!

Comcast will not give you a hard time about the router if you tell them "I'm using a router as a firewall". They will register the MAC address on the router, and you should be ok.
